PRACTICING EQUITABLE PEDAGOGY INSTITUTE (FEBRUARY 10 – MARCH 17, 2023)
The FDC Practicing Equitable Pedagogy Institute on Equitable Assessment and Grading Practices will consist of three (3) synchronous meetings and two (2) weeks of asynchronous work. Faculty participants should expect to spend approximately 10 – 15 hours on the Institute. At the end of the Equitable Assessment and Grading Practices Institute, faculty participants will submit a revised assignment, syllabus, assessment, etc., using the tools and methods provided.
PEP Institute on Equitable Assessment and Grading Practices

In FDC’s Practicing Equitable Pedagogy Institute on Equitable Assessment and Grading Practices, learn about equity-based assessments, why they are one of the foundations of equitable course design, and how to incorporate them into your online and in-person classes.

There will be prep work prior to the first meeting on Friday, February 10, 2023
Meeting 1: February 10, 2023, 1 – 3 pm, synchronous on zoom
Asynchronous: February 11 – March 2, 2023, asynchronous reading, films and/or assignments
Meeting 2: March 3, 2023, synchronous on zoom
Asynchronous: March 4 – 16, 2023, asynchronous reading, films and/or assignments
Meeting 3: March 17, 2023, 1 – 3 pm, synchronous on zoom
All assignments due by March 24, 2023
