Transfer and Returning Student Orientation (TRSO) is a mandatory enrollment requirement - all students must register, pay the non-refundable $99 NSO fee, and attend their scheduled NSO date to register for courses. If a student does not attend TRSO, they will be marked as not attended and will not be able to enroll.
The Spring & Fall 2024 TRSO Program is an IN-PERSON program held at the CSUDH campus. At this time, we are not offering an online/virtual program in replacement of the in-person TRSO.
The TRSO program is committed to ensuring that the incoming class of students will receive an onboarding experience that prepares them well for their first term as new Toros. To be successful in any college setting, you need to understand not only the academics, but the resources, support, and involvement opportunities as well.
During TRSO, you will meet with your academic college and academic advisors. Students will also register for courses as part of the TRSO program.
If you are a First Year Student (Freshman) see the NSO page for First Year Students. Here
Transfer and Returning Student Orientation (TRSO) is open to conditionally admitted students who have:
Students who do not meet admission requirements or enrollment deadlines are not eligible to attend TRSO. Students who are also in the process of appealing an admissions decision are not eligible to attend TRSO.
As a transfer student, it is important to submit your final, official transcripts by October 31, 2023 deadline. This will allow Admissions to verify your admissions eligibility and ensure enough time so that your transfer credit is completed prior to your TRSO date. All transcripts must be official, meaning they are sent electronically by the institution. Our Admissions office prefers official electronic transcripts to be sent directly to admissions@csudh.edu. For more information on how to submit official transcripts, please click here. Please note that there may be instances where a student attends TRSO and then their admissions status changes based on a review of final transcripts.
To register for TRSO, log into your my.CSUDH.edu account. Make sure you are on the Applicants Tab located near the top of the page. From the Applicants tab, click on the Admissions tab, then click on TRSO Registration Status. You must submit the intent to enroll and pay the non-refundable $125 intent to enroll deposit before you are eligible to register for TRSO. If you are having difficulties logging into your my.CSUDH.edu account, contact the I.T. Help Desk at 310-243-2500 menu option 1.
The registration process within the my.CSUDH.edu account will ask you to select a TRSO date and will also ask you to submit payment for the non-refundable $99 TRSO fee.
