Ms. Henderson provides administrative leadership over admissions and our 3-year, part-time program option. Prior to coming on board full-time, Ms. Henderson served as an adjunct faculty member in our Department for several years. Her course roster includes a series of generalist year and specialization year courses, such as Fieldwork Practicum; Social Policy; Social Justice (no longer offered); Advanced Practices in Administration and Leadership; and Community Capacity Building.

With over 20 years of human service experience, Ms. Henderson spent the first half of her career as a direct practitioner in the areas of child welfare, community mental health and domestic violence in urban jurisdictions across three states (CA, FL and MD). As a mezzo/macro practitioner, Ms. Henderson’s work now focuses on building the capacity of social sector leaders, organizations and systems to effectively address inequities experienced by youth, families and communities. Ms. Henderson previously spent seven years as a program officer at a national philanthropic organization, where she honed her skills using results-oriented approaches to achieve tangible outcomes, particularly in the areas of youth justice, social sector talent pipelines, and racial equity. Beyond employed positions, Ms. Henderson has continued to hone her own leadership capacities through civic engagement, non-profit board service, leadership development programs, and communities of practice.
