Jennifer Marks, LCSW is a bilingual licensed clinical social worker with Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health at Harbor UCLA adult outpatient psychiatry clinic. She received her BA in Sociology in 2006 from California State University Long Beach (CSULB). She received her MSW from University of Southern California in 2013. Before joining the Harbor UCLA adult outpatient psychiatry clinic, Mrs. Marks worked for Alma Family Services as a community organizer co-facilitator under the Preventive Initiative Demonstration Project (PIDP), where she worked directly with families living in impoverished communities to prevent child abuse/neglect. 

Mrs. Marks also worked at Didi Hirsch’s Suicide Prevention Center, where she focused on promoting Spanish-speaking crisis counseling services through outreach, networking and educational presentations. In addition, she also worked as a bilingual crisis call phone counselor. Mrs. Marks is also a certified ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Training) trainer and has trained communities and incoming crisis line counselors on suicide awareness and prevention. Mrs. Marks has been trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and has been a member of the Spanish and English DBT treatment teams at Harbor UCLA since 2012. Mrs. Marks also works afterhours in the DMH Psychiatric Mobile Response Team.  She conducts assessments on children, adolescents, and adults and determines if individuals meet criteria for a psychiatric hold. Lastly, she also runs a private practice where she focuses on the treatment of perinatal mood disorders.
