BSN 423 Clinical Placement Process

BSN 423 Clinical Application Instructions for current CSUDH RN-BSN students (matriculated)

Students will be required to fill out a Clinical Placement Application and submit during the application window to ensure placements and requirements will meet all necessary deadlines and guidelines. BSN 423 will require a permit. Once your application is processed and approved, you will be contacted about registering for the courses.

  • Students must have an active, unencumbered RN license for clinical. Interim Permits (IP) are not acceptable.
  • At least one semester prior to anticipated placement, students should begin to look for a preceptor and site. >>Please note that sites where CSUDH does not have an affiliation agreement may take as long as 3-6 months, or even longer to process if approval is possible.<<
    • The SON has limited seats in some cohort-based sites but cannot guarantee placement.
