Individual Appointments

The Writing Center is open for both in-person and virtual appointments. Both types of appointments can be booked through our scheduling system, WC Online. We also have in-person walk-in appointments available.

The Writing Center is located in the University Library North building on the 3rd floor. 


What is WC Online?

WC Online is an online scheduling platform that allow you to make appointments for individual tutoring sessions and group workshops. You can access the schedule via WC Online 24 hours a day and can make appointment for any available day and time throughout the semester.


How Do I Create an Account on WC Online? 

You will need to register an account with WC Online before you can create appointments. To create an account with WC Online, please visit: https://csudh.mywconline.net and follow the instructions on the site. We encourage you to:

  1. Use your Toromail email to set up the account
  2. Create a strong password in alignment with the CSU information security policy. You can read more about this policy by visiting:  https://www.csudh.edu/it/security-compliance/policy/
  3. Set email and text message preferences to allow for appointment confirmations, reminders, and other announcements

What Type of Tutoring Appointments Does the Writing Center Offer?

The Writing Center is currently offers two forms of tutoring appointments: synchronous online tutoring and asynchronous eTutoring.  To hear more about these tutoring options, view the video below!


Which Tutoring Option is Right for Me?

During this time, we understand that many of you are dealing with a lot of distractions in your new remote learning environment. You may experience technical difficulties, have an unreliable internet connection, or simply be in a different space that makes it difficult to focus or have private time for video conferencing. To help you decide which tutoring option is best for you, please review the table below!
