Students interested in the program are required to submit an application form, two letters of recommendation from CSDUH science faculty, a resume, a personal statement, and unofficial transcripts. The applicant must be enrolled full-time at CSUDH, majoring in biology, chemistry, biochemistry, physics, sociology, or psychology. All applicants must be an individual from a diverse background including those from groups identified as underrepresented (as defined by NIH) in the biomedical sciences research workforce.

In addition, you must have:

Demonstrated academic ability in coursework with full-time status at CSUDH.
Must be enrolled with 12 units or more.
Determination and a strong interest to enter graduate programs leading to the Ph.D. in science following completion of Bachelor's degree. Students planning on attending professional school (i.e. medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, and related areas) are not eligible.
Either U.S. citizenship, non-citizens nationals of the United States or lawfully admitted for permanent residency. Individuals on temporary visas are not eligible.
