Lela Rochon is an actress and producer, who made her film debut starring opposite Fred Williamson in “Foxtrap”. She also acted opposite Eddie Murphy in “Harlem Nights” and “Boomerang”.

Rochon’s big break was landing a lead role opposite Whitney Houston, Angela Bassett, and Loretta Devine in the film adaptation of the Terry McMillan novel, “Waiting to Exhale”. For her performance she was nominated for an MTV Movie Award for Best Breakthrough Performance and NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture.

Rochon followed that with a leading role alongside Halle Berry and Vivica A. Fox in “Why Do Fools Fall in Love”, and in “Any Given Sunday”, directed by Oliver Stone. Recently, she had a leading role in Regina King’s directorial debut, “Let The Church Say Amen”.
