Crisis Communications

University Communications and its spokespersons are responsible for communicating official university positions on issues of critical and general, campus-wide impact or significance to the media and external audiences.

During an emergency, contact the appropriate vice president or dean for the area in which the crisis exists, as well as the police if warranted.

In addition, please provide University Communications and Marketing notice of critical or emergency situations on campus, to enable any designated spokespersons to represent the university effectively.

Emergency communications to the on-campus community are made by the Emergency Preparedness Coordinator or the University Police.
