Raman Brar




Raman Brar has been working for the College of Natural and Behavioral Sciences for over 14 years. She has demonstrated passion and dedication to serving the CSUDH community. She strongly believes in team work, Integrity, commitment, good communication, and active listening. She has worked as the Administrative Support Coordinator for the Department of Sociology since 2009, and prior to that served as the Assistant to the Associate Dean of the College of Natural and Behavioral Sciences. In addition to this extensive experience with CNBS, she holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from (GAM college, Abohar) in India as well as a second Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from CSUDH. In Fall 2022, she completed her graduate certificate in Higher Education Administration and Leadership. Raman Brar has been nominated for “outstanding customer service award” numerous times since working at CSUDH.


Under the general supervision of the Dean of the College of Natural and Behavioral Sciences, the Assistant to the Dean oversees the dean’s office, including coordinating, assessing, and improving a wide range of administrative activities.  The incumbent serves as the primary contact of the Dean’s office for university executive administrators, faculty, students, staff and outside constituents, displaying a high level of professionalism, efficiency, and courtesy to maintain the integrity of the Dean’s office, College, and University.  The incumbent conducts training and serves as lead to the department Academic Support staff as needed. The incumbent organizes, executes special programs, such as symposiums, and networking and recruiting events. Her other daily responsibilities include working closely with the Associate Dean and Financial Recourse Manager to ensure smooth work flow for the NBS Dean’s Office.
