Dear Bilingual/Multilingual/Translanguaging Student,
Welcome to California State University, Dominguez Hills -Teacher Education Division! We are so happy to have you in our program.
My name is Dr. Elexia Reyes McGovern and I am the Bilingual Authorization Program Coordinator. I would like to take this opportunity to explain our three Bilingual (Spanish-English) Programs. You can also watch the video explanation here.
At CSUDH we offer three Bilingual (Spanish-English) Programs.
- The first program is the Bilingual Teacher Credential Program (Multiple Subject & Single Subject)
- The second program is the Dual Language Learning Certificate, &
- The third program is the MA in Education: Dual Language Learning option.
Each program offers a unique set of courses and develops different methodological, pedagogical, and theoretical skill sets. Each program is a pathway to the Bilingual Authorization in Spanish. Please see the second page that details the differences between the three different programs.
Please note that there will be formal presentations about these pathways during TED Information Sessions and within courses in the LBS & TED Phase I programs.
