Dr. Tim Caron brings a wealth of teaching and administrative experience to his role as Associate Dean of the College of Arts and Humanities. He has served as a department chair; directed an honors program; supervised a Supplemental Instruction Program; and worked in Faculty Development.

His teaching and research interests include race and religion in writers from the American South, African American literature, and more recently, comics and graphic novels. In addition to courses on American literature, Dr. Caron has taught service learning courses that focus on post-Katrina New Orleans.

Dr. Caron lives in Long Beach, California, with his wife and two kids in a drafty old house that they remodeled themselves. He’s always looking for the next good book to read.
