Chantal Ochoa-Clark

Chantal Ochoa-Clark

My name is Chantal Ochoa- Clark and I have been both a formal and informal educator since 2014. My first position in informal education started when I applied for an internship at the Dominguez Rancho Adobe Museum and later accepted a position with them as an Education and Office Coordinator. From 2017 to 2021 I worked for the USS Iowa Battleship, Torrance Unified School District, Natural History Museum of Los Angeles, Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service, and Downey Unified School District.

In 2015 I graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in History from CSU Dominguez Hills and a M.A.T. in Museum Education from The George Washington University where I was the recipient of the Marcella Brenner Endowment as a reflection of my academic performance and leadership/service. Along with my degrees, I have received certifications as an interpretive guide from the National Association for Interpretation and California Naturalist from the University of California's Division of Agriculture and Natural Resources. Just recently, I accepted a contract position with the UCLA Mildred E. Mathias Botanical Garden where I will be working in creating educational resources. I am a strong supporter of DEAI (Diversity, Equity, Accessibility, and Inclusion) and seek to promote its importance across the field.
