Chantal Walker

Chantal Walker

Chantal Walker is a Ph.D. student at the University of California, Davis. She received an M.A. in American Indian Studies from the University of California, Los Angeles, and her undergraduate degree in History from California State Dominguez Hills.

Her research prioritizes Indigenous perspectives in understanding how tourism and municipal power changed landscapes and waterscapes in California’s Great Basin during the early to mid-twentieth century. She is committed to reciprocal scholarship, participatory research methods, and community engagement. Chantal is currently facilitating workshops on career diversity for graduate students in UCD's History Department.
