D’Shaun A. Booker holds a MA in Fine Arts from California State University Los Angeles and a BFA in Theatre Education from Howard University.  Ms. Booker’s professional experience work includes: twenty years of teaching inclusive of Acting, Speech, and Theatre Arts, extensive experience in scripting, producing, and directing, event planning and producing, workshop facilitation and public speaking.

Ms. Booker has facilitated workshops and trainings in conflict resolution and mediation for the LA Unified and Compton School District.  She has conducted cultural sensitivity workshops for The Los Angeles County Children’s Planning Council, The Los Angeles Human Relations Commissions, Howard University School of Theater in Washington D.C., and Los Padrinos, Juvenile Hall.  She has spoken on several panels.  Ms. Booker produced and hosted The Teen Scene a talk show for Media One Cable. She was the Keynote Speaker to the Los Angeles Job Corps class of December 2005 and California State University, Northridge – Black Graduation 2007.

Some of D’Shaun’s Los Angeles credits as a director include: Five Deep - The Richard Pryor Theater, God’s Trombones and Oasis - West Angeles Performing Arts Center, A Path Less Taken - 24th Street Theater, Everything But My Soul - Wilshire Ebel Theater, Before It Hits Home - CSU Dominguez Hills, Intimate Apparel -The Morgan-Wixson Theatre in Santa Monica, and A Woman Called Truth - The Complex.

Ms. Booker has vast administration expertise in program development and implementation. She has been an adjunct faculty member of performance at University of Southern California, California State University, Dominguez Hills, Southwest and Compton Community Colleges. She is the Founder and Artistic Director of Oasis Ministry Productions, a theatrical production company and Arts Creating Unity Institute, Inc. a non-profit arts organization. Ms. Booker has received several awards and recognitions.
